My husband purchased REFLECT-IT Radiant Barrier to put in the attic of our home in Derby, KS. We installed it on Saturday, May 30th. As you might remember, the temperature reached 99? that day, which tied a record high. The attic was an oven. The amazing thing was that I could tell where he was working, as the rooms were noticeably cooler where he had already installed the radiant barrier than the rooms that didn't have radiant barrier installed yet!

I was very skeptical that the product would work as well as it does. I have two metal sided buildings. The second building is lined with the astrofoil product. In the summer with the large doors open it is like standing under a shade tree. If you slide your hand on the foil side of the astrofoil, it will be almost so hot it will burn you. Place your had on the room side and it is barely warm to the touch. I highly recommend your product. I wish I had used it in my first building. It is very expensive to cool, despite all the conventional insulation that it has. I am going to retrofit the attic with the foil in the near future. Too late to fix the side walls. Please be advised that the ASTRO-FOIL installed at our new facility in combination with the infrared space heaters is operating about 25% more efficiently than originally estimated. I would recommend this type of insulation as opposed to typical fiberglass insulation both for ease of installation and for long term durability.
