I am pleased to tell you how happy we are with the performance of the astrofoil product. My first metal building was constructed without the foil. It was built in the early summer, and the heat would drive almost drive us out by mid morning. My second building was built using astrofoil. It makes the warehouse feel like you are working under a shade tree instead of an oven. The heat does not build up in the building at all. I have had visitors place their hand under the back side of the foil on a sunny day, and they could not believe how hot it was. When the face side was touched it was cool. Just finished insulating a block house for stucco with Astrofoil as the vapor barrier, furring strips, t&g foam and stucco wire. The day I put the Astrofoil on the house the place warmed up. I noticed that on cold days I could stand next to the foil and I get warmer. I tried standing inside a section of loose foil and got even warmer. Next I put some under the mattresses in the house and everyone slept more comfortably. I love this stuff. Ken Stoneburg
Thank you for helping me with my insulation questions. As I mentioned I had bought Astrofoil from your company before for another application. We were the first to use Astrofoil in our county. We were given special approval to wrap our H/AC duct work with Astrofoil. The main inspector for the county was so impressed by the Astrofoil that he has approved it for the entire county and now recommends its use. Our workers found it far easier to use and it didn't pose the health hazards of fiberglass or other friable insulations. And last but most importantly for me, Astrofoil does not off gas or dispense into the air so it is a fantastic product for those of us with chemical intolerance disabilitities. We have used reflective technology since the late 1970's and are continually amazed at the everyday applications. We held a builders' ice cream social in the summer and wrapped 2 gallons in ASTROFOIL and had another 2 gallons w/o any wrapping. The 2 gallons with ASTRO-FOIL held solid for 2 hours until we needed it. The people who were interested kept looking into the wrapped ice cream and finding it frozen--they couldn't believe it!

One of our concerns in moving to a studio five times the size of our previous facility was the cost of utilities. As you may recall, this building is well over 40 years old. The roof and insulation were significantly compromised when we moved in. We are pleased to report that our utility expense has been 25% below what we thought it might be based upon the usage of the previous tenant. I believe this is due in good measure to the ASTROFOIL reflective insulation which you installed in our building. Your product is clearly one which is not seen… but felt… on the bottom line. And, it is also felt in the comfort afforded to our offices.
